Kidnap
Most thrillers i have ended up watching feature the cars dramatically skidding over greased roads, the chants of heroism and unending fight scenes aerial shotted by revolving cameras. So, the question helmeting my head back those days was always, ‘What really makes a good thriller?’

The situations like these in real get over the nerves and slows down the time. So, the challenge should be the honest storytelling which is in-fact dramatized in some way but still not elopes away the tediousness and pressure jutting out from such events.

The timeline over which Kidnap themed felt real and the lead Karla Dyson played sensibly by Halle BeBerry wears the several expressions relentlessly ; ranging from thick skinned to fear which urges to anatomize the theme of motherhood that clouds the plot of movie.

The blue car with black mirror being chased down by red minivan in metropolitan area was shot not on empty roads but holding the tension of switching lanes over and over , the diversion road twists and the other traffic the moves along the way . That's why the chasing scenes never bored me to sleep or switch.

It demurely touches the other parts that could be interlinked. The failure of system, cults and the instincts of mother that can never be delusional. I caught some foreshadowing too. As the night larks in, the situation enters intensified dark zone which i think is thoughtful.

Being as clueless as protagonist and looking at other direction to find the reason to kidnap keeps one up on the seat. So, if you feel your heart is racing fast while noticing some twists, don’t worry it’s just the movie which is made so good.
